lyrics
The hourglass is broken
A change of seasons comes
Dark days about to dawn here
They'll pay for what they've done
Five hundred years from now on,
They'll see the oceans rise again
A curse beyond centuries
By my Hand
My Sisterhood's been hunted
My lover's dead and gone
They hung him from a tree branch
(Near) the place we used to know
I'll dig with my own bare hands
They'll hear the mandrake scream again
No quarter asked, nor given
The way to ease my pain
Shine on,
You've sown your seeds in there
It falls,
Where the mandrake grows
Shine on,
Buried underground
It grows
Where it falls, then mandrakes grow
In the shape of a dead man's hand
And when you try to summon your God
Beware of what you say
He's far more cruel than me
Sisters, dance with me tonight,
Dance around the Great Bonfire
We levitate, we glow like morning stars
Thy Kingdom come
Silver Arrow through the night,
Take thy flight now, seek and find
Then pray your Lord my soul to take right now
And I'll be wide awake
While burning at the stake
They'll never be the same, no
Never be, never be the same
Shine on,
You've sown your seeds in there
It falls,
Where the mandrake grows
Shine on,
Shine on

For some reason, what I previewed and the real songs was somewhat different - maybe because of the cover art?
But I definitely don't regret something more spacial than expected. The recent Ocean drifting in space. frankwurst
Italian stoner powerhouse Tenebra has the heft of Sabbath and the hooks of Saint Vitus in their powerfully imposing tunes. Bandcamp New & Notable May 8, 2022

The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points.
This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
