lyrics
Overwhelming senses of fear
We're so tired, feeling dead on our feet
Innocent cutthroats, they lie in the dirt
They've seen what no one should see
Pity them for they are unaware
Lay me down to sleep
I'm feeling sad for those lives on the run
Lay me down to sleep
« Well, I see it in their eyes
And I can hear a lion's roar, I swear
Never shy away »
Keep me safe until tomorrow morning's light
And then you lay me down
You've given rise to my calls
The heavy winds are about to blow
Overthrowing the lives of our own
Lay me down
Overpowered, covered in blood
Vacant gaze wanders 'round the trenches
Half-ruined faces, buried in the mud
Quick eyes gone under the lid
And for twelve dozen of broken busts
Lay us down to sleep
How many losses of the best among us
Lay us down to sleep
« Well, I feel it in their hearts
And I can hear a lion's roar, I swear »
So says our leader
Angels, watch me through this starry night of dread
And then you lay me down
You've given rise to my calls
The heavy winds are about to blow
Overthrowing the lives of our own
Lay me down to sleep...
And then you lay me down
You've given rise to my calls
There died a myriad
And of the best, among them
The heavy winds are about to blow
Overthrowing the lives of our own
Lay them down to sleep

For some reason, what I previewed and the real songs was somewhat different - maybe because of the cover art?
But I definitely don't regret something more spacial than expected. The recent Ocean drifting in space. frankwurst
Italian stoner powerhouse Tenebra has the heft of Sabbath and the hooks of Saint Vitus in their powerfully imposing tunes. Bandcamp New & Notable May 8, 2022
Brighton, UK band leaven surging hard rock with spaced-out stoner-doom on their second LP, recorded in an old chapel on the English coast. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 9, 2022

The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points.
This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
